Meet DJ Jen: Owner of Dance Moves
I am Jennifer Cornell, the owner of Dance Moves—a full-service DJ, bilingual emcee, and dance instruction company. My journey began on the dance floor as a social and professional dancer, which eventually fueled my passion for the DJ booth. Today, I combine my love for music with my expertise in movement to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed.
With over eight years of experience, I’ve DJ’d everything from corporate events at Rivers Casino to elegant weddings across the Albany and Adirondack regions. My specialty is creating a seamless “flow” for your evening. I love personalizing playlists and incorporating interactive dance elements—whether that’s choreographing a couple’s first dance or teaching simple techniques to help guests feel confident on the floor.
Together with my husband, Chris, we take the time to truly get to know you. Our goal is to create a one-of-a-kind experience that reflects your personality, allowing you to relax and enjoy your celebration while we handle every detail.

Meet Emcee Chris
I am Jen’s husband, Chris, and I round out the team. Public speaking has always been a strength for me which made my transition to an emcee seem natural. I have emceed Dance Moves events for years. I believe an emcee needs to move around the room creating excitement while connecting with guests either at tables or on the dance floor. Having the right sounding voice adds to your experience. I receive comments at every event saying that I sound like a radio announcer or asking me if I am a radio personality. That compliment means that I am hitting my personal mark.
Having enjoyed listening to officiants at so many weddings over the years, I’ve decided to fulfill a hidden desire and use my strengths from emceeing to perform wedding ceremonies. Projecting, sound clarity and poise are important during ceremonies, but different strengths are needed with the planning process. As a former educator of 31 years, I know the importance of great communication, organization and listening to people. These skills enable me to deliver the personalized marriage ceremony my clients envision.
Creating the correct look for your venue with lighting is a talent that I offer for Dance Moves. Lighting is an art and your event space is the canvas. When done correctly, it elevates the feel of any event. Creating artistic spaces is right up my alley since I founded an all inclusive business called Artistic Home Solutions where I design, construct and decorate clients’ homes.
